"A Kitten Went A Walking"

A kitten went a' walkin,
one afternoon in July.
Meow'd 'n fell a' talking,
With a great big Butterfly!
The Kitty's tone was scarey,
But the Butterfly couldn't scoff,
'Cause there flew by a Fairy,
Who whisked his wings right off!

And then (...for it is written)
that Fairies can do such things.
Upon the startled Kitten,
She stuck that pair of wings!
The Kitten felt a shiver,
as she rose into the air.
Then flew down by a river.
To view her reflection there.
With fear, her heart was smitten,
so she then began to cry...
"Am I a curious Butter-kitten?
Or a fragile Kitten-fly?"
