...A Proclamation for the State-wide observance of
"Fatherhood Week" was enacted by the Office of the
Governor of the State of Wisconsin on the 12th of June 2001. The
idea for that observance was originated by, written by, and proposed
to Governor McCallum - by Wisconsin resident, Robert C. Kuhmann."

State Fatherhood Week"
(An observance
to all citizens - June 18-22 2001)
| WHEREAS: |
Fathers play a
unique role in the lives of our children, and provide the
foundation for the healthy and social development of our
families; and |
| WHEREAS: |
Healthy and
socially developed children and families are vital to the
interest and future of Wisconsin;
and |
| WHEREAS: |
It is important
to give appropriate recognition to fathers for the unique and
valuable role that they play in the day-to-day lives of
children, families and society; and |
| WHEREAS: |
It is appropriate
to honor all fathers, both past and present on Fathers Day, and
encourage future fathers to be mindful of the importance of
their role in society. |

| THEREFORE, |
I,
Scott McCallum, Governor of the State of Wisconsin,
hereby proclaim June 18-22, 2001
to be: |
FATHERHOOD WEEK
in Wisconsin
and encourage all citizens to join in this observance.
